Cai Guo-Qiang’s “Ninth Wave.”

Chinese artist Cai Guo-Qiang recently set up his new installation entitled, “The Ninth Wave" in the Huangpu River near Shanghai to drum up excitement for his sure to be incredible solo show at the Power Station of Art starting August 8th, 2014 in Shanghai.  See more of this work below:

Henrique Oliveira.

Henrique Oliveira (Previously on Supersonic) recently completed his largest installation ever at the Museu de Arte Contemporanea da Universadade in Sao Paulo, Brazil.  Oliveira uses re-purposed wood which he nails to complex framework to create flowing, seemingly living sculptures.  This one, entitled “Transarquitetonica,” resembles a root system that visitors to the museum can explore and walk through.  See more of the beautiful installation below:
